Setting

 

Governors Camp is in a magical setting, nestled in the forest, occupying a cliff top position. Located right in the heart of the best game viewing area of the Masai Mara, the camp overlooks the meandering Mara River, its waters teeming with bird-life, hippo and crocodile.

 

Accommodation & Facilities

 

Built under a canvas roof, Governors Camp has 37 tents, some lining the riverbank, with uninterrupted views over the meandering Mara River and sweeping plains of the Masai Mara. All tents have en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water, flushing toilets and a veranda.

The open bar and dining tent have fantastic views over the Mara River and the open plains of the Masai Mara, allowing guests to continue wildlife viewing as they dine or relax with a drink.

 

Dining

 

Delicious meals served in the dining tent. Tea and coffee is served in the tents with the morning wake-up call. Room service is available on request.

 

Activities

 

Game drives operate in 4x4 vehicles, with guided walks, bush meals and balloon safaris also on offer. Local village visits, excursions to Lake Victoria and spa treatments are also available, some of which may incur extra cost.
